Llama Iceways Guidelines

This is how we (hope) people use the iceways :)

Access onto the Llama Iceways

Fun fact: We love to see new locations added to the Llama Iceways!
However, to ensure that the iceway stays as quick as possible for those just passing by, we enforce the following:

TL;DR This is what a bad connection (left/top) looks like compared to a good connection (right/bottom)

No disruption to the normal iceway flow

That's just fancy speak for:

  • No stopper blocks*
  • No large gaps in the iceway barrier (of more than 1 consecutive block)*
  • No slow-blocks in the place of ice*
* We allow exceptions to these, so let us know if you need one!

Don't block the airspace above the iceway

If your nether hub/building/project involves a bridge/tunnel above the iceway, ensure that it allows for a 10 block clearance
on the iceway. This allows for those flying with elytras to not hit your building with their head :)
Again, in some circumstances we can allow exceptions for this (although we avoid it as much as possible)!

Decoration around the iceway is totally fine!

In fact, we encourage it! Just make sure that you don't:

  • Block the iceway
  • Build into the iceway airspace

Who enforces these guidelines?

Only LCU Members (and staff) should be enforcing these guidelines. If you believe someone has broken these
please let an LCU Member know as soon as possible so we can get it sorted (before it becomes super annoying!)
Please note that due to the large scale of the iceway, we are unable to have staff members repair everything. Most
repairs are done through the LCU process, and may take some time to be done!

We aim to avoid the unnecessary disagreements over the iceways, so please let us know first!
